We'd all be worse without this nurse... practitioner

Meet Brittani McCullough Clark

We could go on for days how awesome this girl is but let's do our best to sum it up. Honored to call her a friend and colleague!

In her earlier years, Brittani trained at SCEGA gymnastics in Southern California.  She competed at the 2005 Level 10 National Gymnastics Championship where she won vault, bars, and floor, coming in 4th all around. In 2006 she made the U.S. National team (first attempt).

Fast-forward to college gymnastics at UCLA, Brittani was one of the team’s strongest all-around competitors. In 2008 she was named PAC-10 freshman of the year. In 2010 she added an NCAA floor exercise championship to her accolades.  Her routine merited a perfect 10 from 1 out of 6 judges. Also in 2010, she was an NCAA National Championship team member and UCLA gymnastics Team Captain. She accomplished all this despite suffering two season-ending injuries in 2007 and 2008. She recovered and kept going strong. I like to call that perseverance! It’s important to note that Brittani was an NCAA UCLA Gymnastics scholar and the only nursing major out of 650 UCLA athletes from 2006-2011!

In 2016 Brittani received her master's degree from UCLA in nursing. Yep, you read that right; she is now a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner!  Brittani provides compassionate and high-quality care to all of her patients.  From 8:30 am -5:00 pm she sees patients ranging in age,  from birth up to age 21. Brittani is heavily involved in mentoring student-athletes, community outreach, and inspirational speaking. She is the founder and president of a non-profit organization called Get Movin’.  The goal of her non-profit is to educate men, women, and children of the community about building healthy lifestyles in all areas of their life.  She loves to dance and eat food, so much that her husband says she dances when she sees food!

When I asked Brittani how she begins her day she replied, "Before work, I pray. I ask the Lord to guide me in my decision-making. Then I thoroughly go over my schedule and patient charts with my medical team. The best part is seeing the kids everyday!" Brittani is humble, kind and strives every day to be the best version of herself. This profession suits her well. It’s obvious Brittani has been destined for greatness since her youth.  She proves that anything she sets her mind on she can achieve, with grace and positivity.  She embodies black excellence and black girl magic! Thank you, Brittani, for your dedication to the wellness of others and empowering our youth. Way to go Brittani! #KillingthegameInAllAreas
